TPLO Incision Care After SurgeryTrack the recovery of your pet below.
- You must prevent your pet from licking or chewing the incision site. Licking or chewing at the incision may cause premature removal of the sutures and/or incisional site infection, both of which may require a second procedure to repair. Unless otherwise instructed by your veterinary surgeon, an E-collar must be in place at all times when your pet is not under your immediate supervision.
- It is completely normal for swelling to develop around the ankle approximately 3-5 days following surgery on the leg the TPLO was performed on. This swelling can be massaged if it occurs. It will go down over the course of a few days.

"I can't say enough about Dr. Nunley at TPLO Nashville!! From him answering my first worried call on a Saturday, to returning my emails with questions with phone calls, and explaining things so clearly. He did a great job on my dog's TPLO surgery last Monday! I can't believe how well she's doing, thanks to his skills. I'm so thankful that my vet's office referred me to him."
"Best decision ever made! Dr Jeff was only an email away with any questions! So thankful he is here in Nashville!"
